The winter cocoon time is ending...

I practised yesterday while watching the snow fall on my slowly awakening front garden. So beautiful! The odd juxtaposition of sunny daffodils bearing burdens of melting ice and the unearthly quiet every time I paused was almost unnerving.

I've had the longest continuous period at home that I've had for years but I certainly haven't been idle. My lovely husband Steve has been working on the building of a professional quality recording studio space in our back yard, and I've been looking after him while dividing my time between recording tracks for my solo USB covers album, writing songs, decluttering my life and business and teaching myself how to fingerpick a tenor guitar. I've been mostly playing in local venues with lovely friends to accompany me like Silas Palmer, Andrew Toner, Pete Fidler & Damien Neil. I've also been healing from a very painful musical break-up with my Red Juliet partner. Many lessons learned, not the least being- never name a musical project after your creative muse unless you are deadly certain that the project will actually work out!

But in a more positive direction there are plans afoot to finally launch my new website sometime in the spring/summer as well as a blog project I've been working on to share my experiences of adapting to a professional diagnosis of adult ADHD.

My buddies-in-bluegrass "Jimmy the Fish" are taking off on our first east coast tour to bring in the spring and shortly after that I'll be supporting awesome US singer-songwriter Gregory Page on his Australian tour through Oct/Nov.

So I hope to see you at a show somewhere or maybe online.
Here's to the coming spring!
