Seasons greetings, and reflections Print

Once again I've reached that time of year where the desire for reflection and internal stock-taking starts to take hold. At the same time I'm surrounded by the silliness of christmas, a packed social calender and then the craziness of preparing for Woodford, Illawarra and Tamworth festivals which makes proper reflection seem impossible. Solution? I blocked out a week in January, ensured that my bass will be in another state at the time so it would be impossible to play gigs, and then gave a good friend access to my gmail calendar to scrawl messages preventing me from working during that week. A whole glorious week to ready myself for 2010 and to reveal some new musical strategies. That will also be the week where I'll be unveiling the new Liz Frencham mailing list and also the first song in my monthly YOUtube cover series. Fun :)

In more general news, January will means some gigs with Fred Smith & some more work on Jigzag album number 5- lots to look forward to!
