jigzag anniversary fun
Tuesday, 06 November 2007
I’m kicking back in an armchair in Northern NSW while Steve’s mum bustles around me & I bask in her kindness. Mums are really good at bustling. They seem to be the busiest people on the planet, even when their children are fully grown.

The Jigzag tour is drawing to a close but we have one more big weekend around Sydney/Blue Mtns/Central Coast to bring the love back to where it all started. We’re also filming this weekend for a 10th Anniversary DVD so if you want to be part of the historical occasion, check out the gig details, warm up your vocal chords & I’ll see you there.  Melbourne folks only have to wait a week & I’ll be playing with Fred, or with my new band at The Drunken Poet Nov 21st.

I feel overwhelmed by how great this east coast tour has been, so many memories… In no particular order:
waking up in Erin & Sophia’s dome house on the sunshine coast for an innocent trip to the loo & several glasses of wine later we have the most deep & wonderful conversation about life & music (all the while stopping everyone else from sleeping, oops!)
meeting tree pythons, geckos, Ulysses Butterflies & tree frogs in the wonderful tropical paradise that is Far North Queensland
Swimming in a deep, clear crater lake near Yungaburra while fish swish around me
Eating the best Thai I’ve ever tasted at Shelly’s on the Sunshine Coast
Jamming on The Chainsaw wedding arrangement for nearly half an hour after being lost in Cameron’s Pocket
Slowly discovering the joys of my wah wah pedal over the tour
Singing & playing with Rebecca Wright at Peregian Beach
Singing an off the cuff version of Somewhere over the Rainbow with Ange from Swoon in Mackay

And so many more.
Long Live Jigzag & our many friends!
