Well! I've been home now for 2 weeks since the first leg of the Jigzag DVD launch finished at the end of November & it's been marvellous. Watching spring thaw out Melbourne, planting herb seedlings, tomatoes & lettuce & spending afternoons making pasta sauces & eating watermelon in the hammock. It always feels like you can start over in spring. It seems like every newly hatched oganism is joyfully sharing it's growth spurt with you and anything seems possible.
As far as music goes I've been hatching a new project which won't emerge for some time but is giving freshness to all the music I play. As for performances, there's only a couple of local Liz Frencham shows left for the year- one at the Redbeard Bakery in Trentham for all the Westerners & another laid back set at the Clifton Hill Hotel mid December.
Jigzag will be bringing their DVD down to Victoria in the first weekend of December as well as a lot of new songs. We'll be playing at the Wesley Anne(Northcote) on Dec 5th, MAD Gallery (Lancefield) Dec 6th & The Bungalook Arts Space ( Lakes Entrance). After that I'm headed over to Tassie for some gigs & a bit of a break & then straight to Woodford.
The Mary's will also be playing some shows before I disappear for new year so check out the gigs page for the lowdown!
Til I see you again, good luck with your sprining cleaning & feel free to send any great BBQing ideas my way! |

This looks to be my last NSW outing for the year, but there can be no complaints from that quarter after my many & varied excursions to my stomping grounds throughout 2008. It's seems appropriate to finish with Jigzag, & what a finish it is turning out to be be. A warm reunion of friends with many new songs & lots of fresh energy to share. Check out our itinerary on the gigs page if you live around NSW or Canberra.
But for now I'm off to check out the Tallest Man on Earth at the Hopetoun. Catch you later! |

I've bounced from Melbourne through Sydney to QLD & then back again & further all the way to Tassie & here I am in Sydney again for a Blue Mountains & Wollongong show before heading back to Brissy & the Sunshine Coast.
The Tassy shows were fabulous & the people even more so especially the folks on Bruny Island. What a magical Isle that is where the rest of Tasmania is referred to as the mainland & being from Melbourne I'm called a foreigner! Freddie & I were served fresh oysters almost directly from the ocean & saw some of the most wonderful views in all of our travels- including looking across the channel from Cape Bruny lighthouse across to snow capped mountains. Awesome!!
Now it's time to put on my Liz & Robbie hat- a role which I LOVE, and play some more of the duets repertoire. So Katoomba, Thirroul, Brissy, Sunshine Coast, Uralla & Wauchope- see you soon! |
