I'm sitting here at my desk & it's way into the wee hours.
There is a bottle of cider (Mercury Draught- my favourite!) in front of me & a bowl full of abandoned orange peelings & a dirty coffee cup from the morning. I keep bumping my ankle on the scroll of my double bass which is laying half under the desk at my feet.

I should explain- this line is part of the many songettes that characterise Greg's Bryce's inimitable preparation for a vocal track. Yes folks, I'm back & writing direct from Sydney where Jigzag is right in the thick of the most crazy paced album we've ever made. We have only two weeks from start to finish before handing over to David Hemming for mixing. It's frenetic- with so much recorded live. Our theory has been bang it down until everyone goes yee-haa! & then move right along. It's because we have been accepted for Woodford again this year & so are firmly committed to getting it finished in time for Christmas. I've also finally completed the vocals for the new Frencham Smith album which is also in final stages though the deadline isn't as crazy.
